DAY 1

At your arrival at Malpensa/Caselle airport, you’ll meet our driver that will drive you towards Langhe Monferrato Roero hills.

Along the way, you’ll stop in the Monferrato area to discover the spectacular and wonderful galleries called “Underground Cathedrals”, Unesco World Heritage site: in these underground tunnels time passes slowly, allowing the classic method to replicate the miracle of the monk Pierre Perignon.

Guided visit to an historical wine cellar where you’ll sip the famous Asti Spumante sparkling wine.

Then, you’ll move forward the hotel chosen and selected for you: here you’ll have your dinner and you’ll rest overnight to be ready for the second day of your Piedmont tour.

DAY 2

After a rich breakfast made with typical products, you’ll meet our local guide and you’ll leave for an interesting visit to the Bank of Wine in Pollenzo, an institution created by Slow Food with the aim of building a historical memory of the best Italian Wines.

Guided visit to the centre of storage and refinement of the wines and introduction to the Slow Food movement philosophy. Slow Food envisions a world in which all people can access and enjoy food that is good for them, good for those who grow it and good for the planet. Its concept of food is defined by three interconnected principles: good, clean and fair.

The second stage of the tour is in Bra, the city where the Association Slow Food was born and the elegant hostess of “Cheese”, the largest international cheese manifestation taking place every two year.

Lunch in a typical osteria chosen for you, where you’ll be able to taste the traditional Piedmont dishes.

With an exciting walk in the woods together with a local truffle hunter and his trusty dog, you’ll be projected in the magic world of the truffle and you’ll discover all the secrets of this precious underground mushroom.

After a short time to relax at the hotel, dinner in a characteristic local restaurant and overnight.

DAY 3

After a rich breakfast made with typical products, you’ll meet our local guide and you’ll leave

for a full immersion in the world of the Wine of Kings and King of Wines – Barolo.

In the Langhe hills, the Nebbiolo vine species has three elective areas: Barolo, Barbaresco and Roero, all lying in a radius of 15 km from the town of Alba. The Barolo hills roll through just eleven municipalities and run parallel to the river Tanaro. The composition of the soil here is so particular as to change from hill to hill for different blends of elegance, longevity and majesty – the elements typical of Barolo.

The tour will start with an interesting historical overview at the Castle of Grinzane Cavour, Unesco World Heritage site and representative landmark of the region.

Free time for lunch.

In the afternoon, you’ll meet a local passionate wine-maker who will open for you the doors of his well-known wine cellar and he’ll make you discover all the stages behind these important labels: from the technical production aspects to the history of his family, a fascinating world made of hard work and passion.

The day will be closed with a special dinner in a Michelin starred restaurant of the region.

DAY 4

After a rich breakfast made with typical products, you’ll meet our local guide and you’ll leave for Alba. Guided walking in the city centre and stroll among the elegant shops, medieval towers, liberty buildings and Romanic churches. In 2017, Alba has become “Unesco Creative City of Gastronomy”: now, it’s the capital of the Langhe hills and its gastronomy.  Transfer to the airport, end of the tour.
